Has our awesome God called you into an area of ministry, and you know it?

The harvest field is ripe and needs workers, but not everyone who is "called" has the "traditional" qualifications, or ability to go through a formal education and seminary program to get into ministry. Has our God provided for them? Yes! The Sarah Family Ministries Ministerial Training Center is a ministerial resource center, assisting saints desiring to answer the call to ministry as teachers, missionaries, prophets, evangelists, and pastors.

The Ministerial Training Center offers an "alternative process" to Bible seminary training for ministry. We work with you, train you, equip you, credential you and send you out to minister as God directs. But it doesn't stop there. We provide you with prayer cover, continuing education, fellowship with other saints in ministry, pastoral care, and accountability.

Depending on where you are on your walk with God, we will certify you on one of four levels, and increase your certification as your training, maturity, and experience grows.

Applicants are encouraged to meet with SFM staff to talk about where and how God has been calling and using you in ministry. Based on that conversation, you may be encouraged to enter the Ministerial Training and Credentialing program.

Qualifications: Born-again, Spirit-filled, 18 years of age or older.

Class topics for the Ministerial Training and Credentialing: What is your vision for ministry?, Christian Leadership, The Business of Ministry, Church Government Overview, What does it mean to be a Minister of the Gospel, Ethics and Standards of Ministry.

All applicants for the Ministerial Training must attend the Orientation Class and will be expected to attend all class sessions.

Four Levels Of Certification and Advancement:

Ministerial Training and Certification Program

       Prior to going through this training and certification, I wanted to go to a seminary but was turned down because I didn't have a "four year degree". At age 55, I knew that wasn't going to be part of my agenda. God then introduced me to SFM. But I was very skeptical because the world says you have to have a four year degree and seminary to be a Minister of the Word.
I went anyway, thinking all the way through, "I can always back out at any time".

       During the training God showed me that I already had massive amounts of Bible education and then how much ministry related experience He had already directed me through. God kept impressing on me that the main requirement in His eye is "His calling", not a piece of paper from a university and seminary. In fact, God had already opened a door for me to pastor a church plant right before being introduced to SFM.

       As I was about to complete the training, I knew He had called me into ministry, but the fact that I didn't qualify in the world's way kept haunting me. After a counseling time with my pastor, God made it clear to me that SFM is a part of the Body of Christ and that part of the body was saying to me "You have the calling, we recognize that, we want to launch and support you. And if the world doesn't want to recognize you, God does and that's all that matters!" 

        With that I submitted to the will of God, graduated and accepted licensing and ordination. Since then God has used me in ways that I am so amazed with, meeting needs in His family that were designed "just for me" to meet (Eph. 2:10). I am excited to see His plan 
unfold in the years to come and see He how he will use me.
 
       I am so thankful for SFM and the vision of Pastor Diane and the staff to provide this alternative way to launch me into ministry. By the way, that plant is still going strong 6 1/2 years later!
